I believe that was Lord Louis Mountbatten ...He retired from the Navy the same year as this photo (1965).Lord Mountbatten was murdered by the IRA in 1979. Note the sharp creases in our "bell bottoms"...achieved by rubbing carbolic soap on the seam from the inside and then ironing and pressing in a "trouser press"by tightening two pieces of wood together with the aid of wingnuts!....7 creases representing each of the 7 seas!

Yep. That's me frame right. I received a prize later that day from the chap in the uniform (whoever he was...). THE HEAD; N.A. York taught me Physics. 1965... the middle of the swingin' sixties and where was I...? wasting valuable time on a swelteringly hot parade ground! I made up for it later tho :) Any old chums out there?.. ( Howe House)...don't bother to get in touch... I disliked you all!
