Ted Macey
Ted attended the Royal Hospital School in Greenwich before spending his last year of school at Holbrook.

The Royal Navy was Ted's life, he worked his way through World War 2 and the Royal Navy ranks with hopes and dreams of a better future for all of his kin.  Sadly, Ted passed away in 1982.  However, his daughter Merry Swan laid claim to a 'manuscript' he had been working on and decided to finish it off for him and to publish their work.

Over the years Ted had written a number of odes and prose as well as sketching many cartoons.  There are also thirteen short stories in the book which are based on events Ted had experienced - encounters he had written down or passed on by word-of-mouth.

BookMerry dropped into the School with her brother, Ian, also a former pupil to tell us about the book and to kindly donate a copy to the School library.

The book will be released on the 30th November but orders can be placed at www.troubador.co.uk or via www.amazon.co.uk

For each copy sold, a donation will be made to Help For Heroes.
