SCHOOL WELCOMES BACK FORMER PUPILS

The RHSA organised a sports day reunion which took place on the 7th March. Matches started in the afternoon and the Rugby was well attended with teams made up of West and East side players – all former pupils. Despite everyone being a little bit older no punches were spared and it was a very exciting match ending in an outstanding win for the East side (don’t ask what the score was – no one seems to know!).
The Football and Netball matches were played against the School and despite the best efforts of the former pupils the School teams won both games. The netball finished RHS 20, RHSA 13 and the Football RHS 2, RHSA 0 - a comfortable victory for the School with goals by Jed Cawkwell and Patrick Gubbey.
After the matches, refreshments were laid on in the Jellicoe Room where the Headmaster, Howard Blackett, welcomed everyone back. Tours were organised for those that wanted to have a look around a refurbished boarding house and the newly built Music School. After that, well, the fact that no-one seems to remember the rugby score might have something to do with what went on in the evening.
